The client publishes a project and interested professionals can submit their proposals. There is also the option for the client to invite specific profiles directly to take part. Once the most suitable proposal is chosen, communication, progress tracking and payment are managed within the platform.
No. The services are provided by professionals registered on the platform. Letraria provides the infrastructure that connects the parties, manages projects and processes payments.
Letraria charges a commission for use of the platform.
Letraria applies a 10% commission to the client and a 10% commission to the professional, calculated on the total project amount.
Letraria offers two types of projects: Public projects: visible to all professionals. Private projects: visible only to the professionals the client chooses to invite.
Yes, provided their profile has been previously validated by Letraria and belongs to the same professional category as the published project.
Yes. Letraria has a multiple project option that allows you to select up to four different categories within the same project and invite specialists in each. This way you can cover different stages of the work in one commission. For example, you might need a proofreader, a translator, a layout artist and a cover designer.
Yes. The project acts as a starting point and professionals can submit custom proposals according to the specifics of the commission.
You can review profiles, experience, reviews and the proposals received before making a decision.
Payments are made through the Stripe Connect payment gateway. The client pays the total project amount in advance. This amount is held securely until the client approves the final delivery.
Payment is released when the client confirms that the project has been completed. If the client does not respond within the set period after delivery, the system may consider the project approved and release payment automatically.
No. Hiring and payments must be made within Letraria.
At present, Letraria does not support partial payments or advances, so payment is managed in full through the platform. However, we understand that there may be specific cases with particular needs. In those situations, Letraria may consider other options on an exceptional basis.
Each professional is responsible for complying with the tax obligations of their country of residence.
Yes. You can use the platform from any country, as long as you comply with your tax regulations.
Deliverables are submitted directly through the platform so that the whole process can be tracked.
Clients and professionals can manage communication, progress and deliveries within Letraria's workspace.
Yes, as long as they are within the agreement between both parties.
No. Letraria only gives access to professionals with proven experience in their field. To this end, each application undergoes a thorough evaluation process.
It means that Letraria has reviewed the information provided by the user to verify that it meets the minimum criteria for professionalism and specialisation.
Professionals linked to the ecosystem of the written word, as long as their services fit the nature of the platform.
No. As a general rule, any attempt to close deals or manage payments outside the platform is prohibited. However, exceptional one-off actions outside Letraria may be allowed when the platform does not yet offer a certain technical feature, such as a video call between the parties to discuss the project.
Letraria has an automatic anti-fraud system to detect attempts to bypass the platform, including conversations or behaviour that suggest possible external hiring. Breach of these rules will result in immediate account suspension. You can find more details in our Terms and Conditions.
Letraria applies internal minimum price criteria to avoid devaluation of professional work on the platform. These criteria are set taking into account the type of service, its complexity and common market practice.
Letraria makes a support system available to users to help resolve any issues that may arise between the parties.
